Have just collected ds from nursery and had to sign the accident book....
He was hiding behind the book shelf and got himself stuck but in the process of trying to get out or someone trying to help him out he has hurt his foot...accident happened at 10.30am and he's still saying it hurts and is limping all the time on the correct foot..
we can't see any marks, no swelling...so what do i do next??(he's fast asleep downstairs atm-normal for him!!)
1.Wait till tomorrow and see if he's still limping?

  1. Take him somewhere (after picking up dd from school and me finishing work)..where..gp/a+e?

Never been in this situation before...

can i still send hime to child care this afternoon?

I'd be tempted to wait until tomorrow if he's not in agony and it's not swollen.

to be honest, id wait until tomorrow... not saying your DS is like this, but I always used to play on things abit, for abit of sympathy etc! They would be forgotten about by morning. If it was badly injured, id say there would be an outward sign... but, if he still says it hurts tomorrow, go to GP.

thanks for the reassurance-the wait until tomorrow was my initial thought....(oh it's hard being a mummy sometimes)

GP probably, first. They can always refer you to A&E if he's going to need xrays etc.

thanks, will try and get an appointment...
