Birth to 5 book:out of date RESUSCITATION advice

My dd is 7mths old so my 'new' birth to five book which i got from my HV when she was born was printed in apr 05.

the resuscitation info in the emergency section on p 114 is the 2000 guideline, new ones came out in Nov 2005 so why arent they in the book?
you can find the up to date ones here /link{http://resus.org.uk/pages/pblsago.pdf}

i cant imagine how much the birth to five books cost to produce and who knows what else is out of date if emergency advice is not even up to date?what is the point of printing them every year if the advice is 5 years out of date?

Was there a typo in that post somewhere? You say that the book was printed in April 2005, that the new guidelines came out in November 2005, and then want to know why they aren't in the book that was printed seven months earlier...

sorry meant book was published april 2006 ie this year so 6 mths out of date, definately not a typo as are very different guidelines

Jus as bad - you only et a birth to 5 book for your first child. The one I have was 5 yrs old by the time I had DD3. Its all wrong - weaning (4-6 months) is just one example.
