for the past few weeks I've been having a pain in my right side, just under my ribs. It feels a bit like a stitch. It's not constant, and it's definitely not severe - in fact it's very mild, but it is there.

I've just had a miscarriage (early, 5 weeks, uncomplicated and everything has 'passed'.), but don't think it's related to that.

Dr Google doesn't seem to have anything other than gallstones. Did wonder if it might be the start of those as my Dad had them but I remember the pain with him was incredibly severe, and this isn't at all.

Any ideas? Should I go to GP? I am 26 and otherwise in good health but have bad anxiety (I accept it could be anxiety pain!).

Don't be daft iamadaft, go to your gp and tell them all about it. (I am a GP and wouldn't think you were wasting any time, even if it turned out there was nothing wrong)

And tell them about your anxiety too! Have you had any support since your mc?

Yes I've spoken about it to them re: anxiety but they wanted to put me on anti anxiety meds. I've taken anti-depressants before but I really don't get on with them. I had a course of CBT but that didn't do much for me either. I am a bit of a lost cause I'm afraid :)

They were nice to me about my miscarriage, yes.

A telephone consult is a good idea. They shouldn't be getting annoyed with you. If I was your GP I'd be thinking about other things I could offer you. Meds certainly might help and there are lots to choose from, but they aren't for everyone. Have you discussed other psychological options? CBT isn't the only treatment. Or do you think that now is not the right time to address it?
