Hi, just wondering if anyone has any idea, seeing as i can't get an appointment at my docs' yet? (apparently I'm not an emergency so not allowed appointment 'on the day.' Helpful non-medically educated receptionist told me this).

Anyway, my throat has been on fire for 6 days now, can barely swallow but the worst bit has been the fever and aching of hips/legs etc. It's just going to be some virus, isn't it? I'm off work, just wasting the days sleeping and having no energy.
This is the 3rd time I've had this in about 6 months now.

When i get dp to look down my throat it just looks normal!!

Any pus on your tonsils ? Rash? Could be a strep throat or throat infection.

3rd time in 6 months sounds like you need to be asking your GP if there could be anything underlying going on.

No pus, not even redness! No rash anywhere either. I feel like I've got flu, but my throat is connected to it...IYSWIM

My dp thinks it's just due to the constant stress of my job.
