VACCINATION QUERY? What is this? Does he really need it?

I have received a letter calling my DS2, age 4, for a vaccination. It is a "BST DTaP/IPV".

Is this "DTaP" the fourth DTP vaccine? If so I decided not to give this to DS1 but I can't remember why. ... or was it a fourth Hib vaccine, it's so confusing. Perhaps someone can remind me of the pros and cons of this vaccine.

Also what is "BST" and "IPV"?

I had assumed this was his pre-school boosters which I would be happy for him to have (minus MMR as we have already made a decision not to give him the MMR) but thought the pre-school ones were Polio etc.

Help!

A link for DTaP/IPV here
Don't know what BST is.

Thanks Juuule, that's useful. The "DTaP/IPV" is Diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio, that sounds like all the pre-school stuff and I am happy for him to have those.

It's just "BST" if anyone knows what that is?

Also as a side point, why don't they just print out in plain English what the vaccinations are?

Doest BST maybe stand for "booster"?

Zippy, you are a genius! I think you could very well be right! That's a relief, thought it was some new one that I hadn't heard of.
