Pelvic Floor exercises needed for Mooncup

Things just haven't been the same 'down there' since having ds...

Can anyone tell me how to do pelvic floor exercises so that, apart from anything else, I can wear my mooncup without it falling out?

We had a lovely fanjo physio come and give a talk at our postnatal group.

She told us about two types of pelvic floor exercise. The first type is fast squeezes the second is holding and pulling up for longer.

Basically you squeeze like you are trying to hold in a pee and a fart . You can do the first type this way by just doing lots of quick reps. For the second type imagine your muscles are climbing a ladder - hold the squeeze longer and keep pulling up through out. The second type are more difficult but very effective. The physio also said to do the exercises whilst sitting, standing and lying down - they are much more difficult when standing!
If you are having probs after doing these religiously for a couple of weeks you might want to ask your Dr for a referral to a physio.

Know you're getting them right by stopping peeing mid flow, again and again.

fanjo physios...I have a really lovely one who has helped me resurect my pelvic floor. I'd recommed one if you are having difficulties.
Yeah, a bit dauntin at first but it was worth the embarrasment.
