Having the IUS fitted in two weeks - anyone else had this???

Had my six weeks check with GP and discussed contraception, have decided on the new type of coil the IUS. Had the vaginal swabs taken and booked in for two weeks time.

Curious to know of anyone elses experience with this

Word of warning though - quite a few of the threads will put you off. It doesn't suit everyone!

That said, despite these threads, I had one put in 3 weeks ago and no problems so far! Didn't even hurt too much whenit went it - and my cervix is VERY tight (dcs born by c-section). Have to admit I had forgotten how messy non-condom sex is though - dh kindly bought very posh (well, waitrose!) tissues for us!
