16 week old bf dd has pooed twice in quick succession this morning, and both of them were quite mucuosy. They were mainly yellow and runny, but did contain jelly; is this normal?! Btw, she seems ok in herself and has no temperature. Fed MAMMOTHLY last night between 630 and 11 (200 mls ebm, 100ml of formula, plus a long breast feed)...could this be a side effect?

don?t know. If you are worried, give your hv a quick ring for piece of mind - will take you 5 mins and then you can relax.

May sound ridiculous, but are you sure the nappy lining hasn´t split and the jelly stuff inside hasn´t come out and mixed in? There was a thread on here before about this, panicky mum worrying about jelly like poo, but turned out to be the granules in the nappy. When they get wet, they go like clear jelly.

Not in any way medically trained, but sounds as though the big night feed may have had a knock on effect at the other end.....

As always though, if in doubt, call your GP or HV
