Hysteroscopy & uterine polyp removal

I'm going in on Fri for laser removal of a uterine poly under general anaesthetic.

Has anyone had this done?

What were your experiences?

I'm not worried about future fertility - I'm 45 and ds2 is 11 now.

Thanks

Thanks worryismymiddlename - I'm not unduly worried about it, honestly. I've been told that it is extremely unlikely that a polyp is anything sinister. I'm not allowed to drive for 48 hours afterwards - this is standard after having any general anaesthetic. I've been told that I'll need to 'take it easy' for about a week. When I booked the date I told them that I've got a ticket with a group of friends to see the Spanish Riding School of Vienna at Wembley the following Fri - 17/11 - and I'd be pretty gutted to miss it. Wembley is about an hour's drive for me, so I was told that I should be fine to go but they advised that I ought to get someone else to do the driving as I might still feel a bit sore or tired.
So it doesn't sound too bad, really - I'm just interested to see if anyone else on mn has had it done.
