switching pills - do you have to wait?

I know when switching from one contraceptive pill to another you're supposed to finish the pack you're on then start the next one straight away without a break. But I've got two weeks left of my Cerazette and I can't wait to be finished with it. So does anyone know the ramifications if you just start taking a new pill mid-cycle? Thanks.

Which pill are u switching to?Is it also a progesterone only pill?
It should be ok to switch mid cycle if you dont miss any days at all.Take cerazette today and start new one tomorrow- should still cover u.
Cerazzette works primarily by inhibiting ovulation- and on a 28 day regular cycle that usually day 10-14.If u are midcycle now your ovulation should in theory have been inhibited so imagine its ok to take another pill- preferably the combined pill without risk of pregnancy.
Remember no pill is 100%effective against pregnancy and even the combined pill taken correctly is 99%effective

I'm switching from Cerazette to Microgynon -a combined pill and just about the only one I think I haven't tried! Fed up with the whole thing to be honest but decided to have one last go before going for more drastic measures. I was on Dianette which was fine. Except after 2 years my GP insisted I come off it. Switched to Yasmin and came out in spots and got very heavy periods. Switched to Cerazette because suppposed to give you lighter periods - which it does except I get them every other week now! And my skin is worse now than when I was a teenager. I spent 3 months with no pills and felt fine - no spots and normal periods -but can't cope with condoms so that wasn't a long term option. Oh, and I also tried the Mirena coil and had it removed.

Next step is something more permanent for either me or DH but feel compelled to exhuast all other possiblities first.
