Can an arthritic/ankylosing spondylitis flare cause a temperature?

I'm currently having the worse flare ever since being diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. I'm stiff & in agony with a low grade fever added to the mix. Is a fever common during joint flares?

Hi
I have AS too and often feel feverish. My hubby says my thermostat is up the creak! X

Another one here with AS and I always seem to have a temperature when I'm flaring up too. It's particularly bad at night when I get full on night sweats. Lovely!
I reckon it's all part of the inflammatory process.

Hi again, day 3 & the pain is subsiding along with the low grade fever so the synchronised symptoms seemed to be related. I bloody hate this condition, so unpredictable. Waves weakly back
