My DS 21 months has been being sick since yesterday am, not even keeping water down, high temp, lethargic and all the usual melarkey BUT

Last couple fo times hes been sick it has been bright bright lime green adn where its got on his clothes has taken the colour out, almost like its been bleached. Never seen anything like this before, except perhaps in the excorcist so whats going on??

Have got GP appt for 5.30 one of this fun sit and wait ones when you've got an ill toddler and a 9 week old baby who always experiences grumpy hour at that time - wish me luck! - JUST WONDERED IF ANYONE KNEW WHAT IT WAS!

The green colour is bile - it's the usual stomach juice, but hasn't been diluted by food, if that makes sense. It can take colour out of clothes because it's very acidic.

Sounds like a miscellaneous stomach bug - see what the GP says, but lots of sips of water / Dioralyte / weak Ribena will help keep him hydrated and get a little bit of sugar into him till he's fought it off.

Oh, your poor DS. I threw up bile once, it wasn't fun.

poor thing. The bile can give your little one a nasty sore throat - can burn on the way up. Worth trying to keep him drinking to dilute it - sipping a little at a time - but avoid dairy as it can aggravate an upset tum.
Hope he is better soon x

Green sick is common, but shouldn't be ignored. Think of anything you ate green in the past 24 hrs. Grin But don't worry, the pain only lasts for 10-20 minutes.
