Are those migraine cool forehead strips any good?

I'm currently on day 3 of a migraine. I have a small hot water bottle on my head at the moment as the heat is relaxing. It's not too bad as it's autumn here in Australia but when it's really hot something cool would work better. My arm is aching trying to hold the bottle on my head.

Yes, ruddy marvellous. Not a replacement for the proper drugs but very soothing.

Thanks I shall give them a try.

Yes, they are quite wonderful, calming and soothing.

I hope it goes, is 3 days normal for you? Have you seen a doctor?

Try a migra-cap, it looks like a rugby scrum cap, but you put it in the fridge/freezer and it is amazing! You can get them from Amazon, I think they're about £30, (don't know what that is in dollars I'm afraid) but well worth the money. Hope you feel better soon

Thanks I'll check out the migra cap that sounds soothing. I've spoken to my psychiatrist as I recently stopped one med & have had insomnia since. If I have a few bad nights sleep I will get a migraine. My psychiatrist rang me. I have to take 1 Olanzapine tonight & 1 Clonazapam. If I wake up I can take another Clonazapam. He is leaving me a script for Stilnox tomorrow. Hopefully I will get a good night's sleep tonight. He said not to take the other med I have as I had a reaction to it. My eyeballs felt like they were being sucked up into the sockets. He said it is a side effect but not usually on the lowest dose. I seem to get bad side effects on tiny doses of meds so I have to be cautious. I can't take tryptans due to interaction with my Sertraline.

I really like the strips-I've found the 'Kool n soothe' ones best. I also find a cool gel eye mask that you can store in the fridge helps too :)
