Just wondering how this wiil affect him. Feel upset because he is really active, loves footie. He is only 3, feel like I will be hovering over him with a puffer in my hand. Does anyone have lder kids and how much does their asthma restrict them?

My son was diagnosed when a toddler and now he's 9 I think he's outgrown it.

In between those ages he's played football, is a 'serious' cyclist, rock-climbs, swims etc etc.

It's never stopped him. Always has his inhaler with him, even now, although he hasn't needed it in a year.

Remember, lots of famout footballers have asthma. It can be well controlled and it may lessen over the years.
