Hi All

My dd is 12 months old and woke at 10pm last night very grizzly.

Eventually around 11:45pm she began to vomit and has continued to do so all night pretty much.

She has no temperature and in between vomits she was quite bright and cheerful really.

She finally dropped off around 3ish and has had several dry or bile only heaves (sorry TMI!) until about 6ish.

She barely woke during this time and is now sleeping peacefully but with a very full nappy.

The vomit absolutely stank and the act of vomiting was really violent poor little thing.

She's been sick in the past and it's never been this "hard" for her iyswim. Last time a couple of months back she just opened her mouth - again sorry TMI.

I'm due at the dr at 11am but was hoping you guys could advise too.

TIA

Oh your poor DD!!

Sounds as though the worst may be over though, hopefully. What I'd do is keep her off solids for the rest of the day, but if she will, let her drink flat lemonade -it's gentle on the stomach apparently and the sugars will replace some of her energy.

Keep her off milk for now, maybe later this evening try her with some diluted milk if she wants.

Hope she's feeling better soon

Oh yuck!! Poor you and poor dd! Mine hada this last weekend - copious vomit over night - was in the shower with her at 2.30am trying to get it out of her hair! NASTY!

If it's any consolation she slept most of the next day, ahd a bf in the morning and a couple of crackers and water late afternoon. By evening had some plain mashed potato and bf and slept all night. Thank God the rest of us avoided it!!

Hope she feels better soon!
bb xx

hi

thanks for the advice and sympathy.

she's had a bf this morning, is very flushed in the face but still no temp. she's alternately quite cheerful and then grizzly.

got a squitty bottom now as well poor thing.

not sure what dr can do or say but will feel better to go anyway.

will keep her off solids etc and see how she gets on.

thanks again
