I printed out a chart from the internet somewhere and put it on the fridge with my dates on it... I said to Hubby these are the days you are nice to me, I said to the kids these are the days you will be good...

Seriously though, I thought PMT was all in peoples minds, until I got it, I do find it helps if the family know why I'm snappy.. I thought about going to the doctors to see if he could give me something.. so I will be watching your thread with interest...

how old are you by the way....

Try fish oils...they seem to work for me. I take Eye-Q capsules. Have forgotten most days over the last 2 months and am feeling really bad this month, so have taken double dose for last 2 days and am starting to improve again. Maybe it's just the placebo effect but who cares if it works. (they also work for cyclical breast pain if you get that, and are supposed to be good for your heart).

Hi, try Agnus Castus . I've used it and it worked like magic on my PMT; others who I recommended it too have also reported really great results.
You can buy it from Boots and the like but try to buy it in liquid form, if you're going to try it at all, rather than tablets as the liquid seems to work better.
Really recommend it, you should give it a try.

I take MagnesiumOK. Got them from Boots. They combine magnesium and calcium with huge doses of Vitamin B6 and B12 and various other things. (I'm slightly concerned because the pack says taking one of the Vit Bs in such quantities for a long time can cause side effects but I've not managed to find out anything about what "long term" means). I've been taking them for almost a year now and completely swear by them.

I was having horrible problems with PMT, feeling very grumpy, very tired, bad period pain, sore back, wobbly legs and REALLY sore boobs (even had a mamogram because GP thought I had a huge cyst). I've tried not taking them and after a couple of months all the PMT symptoms come straight back. I don't remember to take them every day but they certainly do the trick for me, I'm quite evangelical about them!!! And PMT is sooooo not in the mind...
