Do these symptoms sound like (adult) reflux?

I have had 3 bouts of this now, over the course of the last month or so. I get pain in my chest, back, shoulder, neck and up into my jaw and ear. It lasts anything from an hour to 3 hours, giving me spasms of pain. It is really quite unpleasantly painful. I was half convinced it was a heart attack the first time, however there are no other heart attack like symptoms! I do plan to get checked out at the GPs but until then I just thought I'd ask whether people think it sounds like indigestion/reflux?

Thanks, I do plan to see the GP tomorrow. Antacids haven't helped. I am not aware of any gall bladder problems. I guess I can't 100% rule out angina other than I kind of assumed it would prpbably affect my HR or BP or I'd feel sweaty or something..? But will get checked out soon as.

You need to get it checked out -it could be serious/heart related.

But I get a stabbing pain in my left shoulder through indigestion...(I have a history of DVT/PE and it is similar to a PE - I used to start panicking - which made me breathless too...but not now I know what it is ).

I've had it thoroughly checked out and I suggest you do too.
Heart, lungs and gall bladder/pancreas etc... (iirc gall bladder is usually right shoulder)
I now take acid reducing medication -I get it very infrequently - usually if I've forgotten to take my medicine or sometimes if I've eaten really fatty foods)
But do get it checked out asap...

Well doc gave me a prescription for a heavy duty antacid, but has also booked me an ECG for tomorrow. But if it is angina will an ECG show anything if I'm not actually in the middle of an attack??
