Strange feels like lump (but don't think is) on back? very uncomfortable

I wonder if anyone has thoughts on this. For several months I had a very strange feeling on one side of my back, quite high - on lower shoulder blade I think. I was sure it must be a sizeable lump as it felt like that on my back, really uncomfortable rather than painful but there is nothing visible or feelable there. It is vaguely painful when someone really digs in at about the place I think I can feel the "lump".

I have been to see a specialist and had an MRI of my chest wall and waiting for results but I believe from my call with her receptionist they show nothing. But the sensation is still there. I would swear there was something large there. For the last 2 days I can kind of feel the area vibrating/buzzing there and I just know this cannot be nothing. Is there anyone that has any thoughts on what this could be as I suspect the specialist is just going to tell me there isn't anything there (which in itself is a relief) but I just can't leave this like it is as it is so uncomfortable. Thank you

Have you seen your GP about it?
Sorry, I cant offer other advice, but if you're worried, see your gp.

It sounds like you are already doing the sensible thing of getting this checked out by a specialist - I wouldn't read too much into the call from the receptionist. Even if there is nothing hugely problematic, it does not mean that you won't get an explanation of what is going on iyswim.

Try not to worry. Write down the questions that you want to have answered by the specialist, and take it with you to the appointment.

Hope you get to the bottom of it.
