OUCH! Stomach cramps - Why???

Ok wise mners, I'm breast feeding my 10week old ds2 so I'm not expecting af to show. Been getting the odd cramp for about a week now, but tonight, very frequent and painful. Any ideas???

Anyone have any ideas?

My periods came back very quickly with dd (can't remember exactly when but i know it wasn't long) and i was breastfeeding.

don't say that, don't think I could cope with them just yet would I really be getting them for a week before, then really intensifying like this? Never suffered much from cramps with my af before

i remember mine were v painful cramps but then i'd been on the injection prior to conceiving and so hadn't had periods at all for about 3 years! It was a bit of a shock to the system.

Alternatively i seem to remember getting cramps during breastfeeding but i think that was much earlier on and something to do with the uterus contracting back. I don't think that can still be happening at 10 weeks can it?

Did you breastfeed your first? when did your periods start then? (interested for personal reasons as i'm due no.2 anytime now and it'd be nice to know that there may be a chance i won't get periods so early this time round!)

I breast fed ds1 for 15 weeks, af appeared about a month later.
I did get cramps for the first week after the birth due to uterus returning to normal, but that was whilst feeding.
The cramps are coming in waves at a time
