Painful lump on arm, any ideas?

DD said she had a sore arm a couple of days ago. Yesterday I could feel a sort of bump under the skin, a bit like a knot in the muscle, but it only hurts when pressed, not when she uses the muscle so it's not a pull or strain.

Today it's a definite small hard-ish lump. Nothing visible at all on the skin, no redness or swelling, the lump feels like it's about half an inch under the skin, and it still hurts when pressed. It also seems like that bit of her arm is warmer than the rest, but it might just be where she's fiddling with it more.

GP or wait and see? It's not bothering her at all unless she presses on it.

Bump - anyone? (forgot to mention she's late teens, not a toddler)

If you're worried, see the doc. Nuff said.

Is it near her elbow? Could it be an inflamed bursar? In which case Dr to avoid it becoming bursitis which is not good! If it's somewhere else just along the surface probably less of an issue? But still worth going to the dr..

It's on her forearm. I was hoping someone here would recognise the symptoms and save a GP trip, ah well worth a try.
