Laser eye surgery

has anyone had this done, did it hurt? where did oyu have it done and who by

ooh, i was going to ask this as i need new glasses and contacts and figured it wld not cost much more for surgery if you add up the costs over a few yrs!

I am interested in this - I statrted having extended wear lenses (you keep them in for a month - even at night) but a bit pricey at £25 a month.
