what do they look like when they first appear and where would they start from?

blisters that pop. i had my first ones around my neck/ears but they can be anywhere (dd1's were on her legs, we thought they were fleabites )

DS has had cold for weeks and now has spots on his face going roung nursery apparently how quick do they appear?

they can appear v fast, i remember mine popping up on my legs as i watched them (I was 20 and was very very ill with cpox)

mine went from having none in am , to 3 by lunchtime to more than a dozen by evening , plastered next day. They look like red insect bites to begin with (pimples increasing in size) which then get whiteheads and scab. ds' first were behind his ear , dd's on shoulder blade.
