How long should a suppository take to work?

Our dd41/2 has been for a poo since we think last Wed, but it could be longer. She has been getting tummy ache and is a bit off, she has dark rings under he eyes and is a bit pale. This happened earlier this year after a trip to Disney land and we used a suppositary then and it did the trick within about 20-30 mins. today I thought I would try one, that was at 8.45 this morning and still nothing. What else can I do, she has just been on the loo and nothing other than a squirt. I dont want to use another suppository.
