DS 1 aged 6 had to be taken in to hopsital suddenly to have his appendix removed. Back home yesterday, with instructions to take regular Calpol and Nurofen. So far so good. Now he is making a fuss about his medicine, so is in quite a lot of pain. He now associates the pain with his medicine, although it only hurts then because he's getting upset, crying etc which is bound to hurt is sore tummy. Not interested in sweets as a bribe, because he was quite sick after the anaesthetic and is only just starting to eat.
I'm sure people have some top tips for me???

I can remember having my tonsils out at 5, I used to hide from the nurse when she came to give me my meds!!
What about soluble tablets you could put these in juice or you can get nurofen capsules if he would take those, would need to check the dosage for a 6 year old.
I'm sure someone will have some great ideas!
