Ovulating? Feeling a bit strange

I'm currently bfing my second child who is 17 months. I have yet to start having periods again since my pregnancy - with ds1 they came back when he was 22 months.
On Saturday I had an ovulation like discharge which made me think I might have a period in the next couple of weeks. Nothing yesterday, then loads today, quite runny, so I have to wear a pad! Really sorry if this is tmi!! Doesn't smell yuck, but I feel a bit icky. Not itchy, but I feel a tiny bit sore.
Does anyone else have experience of this? Is it just my body cranking itself up to full fertility again? Any comments, experience welcome...

could you be pregnant?!!!!!!!

lulumama · 30/10/2006 16:43

around the time you ovulate...cervical mucus can be copious...jelly like or snot like ( sorry) and clear..... could be ovulation...lots of discharge can happen in pregnancy, but usually later on.....

HTH!

Nope,I am definitely not pregnant! The chance would be a fine thing - dd could well be described as "velcro baby" whether she's awake or asleep!
Thanks for the snot comparison, lulumama, strange but true! It really is so long since I last ovulated (two years in fact) I think I've probably forgotten how pronounced the changes can be. I have experienced little or no cervical mucus before my fertility has returned after both my babies, so I suppose it's just the contrast that's a bit of a shock to the system.
Thanks both of you for responding - I suppose I'd better stock up on pads and tampons now in preparation for AF.
