PMT - better or worse since having kids?

From one whose periods never bothered her at all I have turned into a hormonal monster and not just before periods. Don't know if it's hormonal or just symptomatic of having to deal with two toddlers all day. I did notice that I was much more short tempered during pregnancy as well.

ah yes same details as you! lol. PMT has been horrendus since having the boy after 4 reg AF's I now have nothing!

bakedpotatooooowoooh · 30/10/2006 11:29

worse, much worse

HelenWheels · 30/10/2006 11:39

Worse - much, much, much worse. And lasts for more of the month as well.

ilovecaboose · 30/10/2006 11:46

My periods never bothered me pre ds - didn't have pain, or pmt. Was never really hormonal until I got pregnant and then was horrible for 9 months.

Now I am a monster with terrible pain for about 2 weeks of the month.

throckenholt · 30/10/2006 11:48

oh - I buck the trend - mine is better. I am not sure if it is having had kids, or just getting older - whatever - I am grateful for it.

My sympathies to those for whom it is worse.

Gobbledispook · 30/10/2006 11:52

Much worse. Periods are heavier than they ever were before children too. Tbh, it's more since ds3 - I was Ok after the first two.

hotandbothered · 30/10/2006 11:54

Less pain but more PMT emotional stuff. I am a moody cow for days before. Periods much heavier too.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 30/10/2006 12:49

Definitely worse here too.

expatinscotland · 30/10/2006 12:50

worse!

for a whole week before my period - spots, greasy hair, etc.

am trying evening primrose oil.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 30/10/2006 12:51

HV suggested 'Magnesium-OK' multivits, but I keep forgetting to take them.

naswm · 30/10/2006 12:59

I take Magnesium ok, and agnus castus (specifically for pmt) - dread to think what I'd be like with out them........

VoluptuaGoodshag · 30/10/2006 14:38

Heck I need to take time to read things properly - I thought you said anus cactus!! What that would do for PMT I don't know

Worse after my first two babies, much better after the second two. Weird!

piglit · 30/10/2006 15:30

Absolutely terrible since having dses. Shockingly hormonal, terrible PMT and nightmarishly heavy AFs.

BrummieMomInMerthyr · 30/10/2006 17:16

Much much worse, trying evening primrose and agnus castus, hope it works!

TheDivineLiliLaTigresse · 30/10/2006 17:18

worse I think, but more in a don't piss me off kinda way

thorn · 16/11/2006 14:00

I never used to get it that bad but after having my 3rd child it has got worse. I get so angry with the kids over really little things and i just shout constantly for a week before. not a very nice person to live with!
