BCG and 2nd set of jabs

Hi
My daughter had her 1st set if jabs last week. The nurse said that she can not have her 2nd lot of injections any sooner than 4 weeks from the 1st set. However I have now since received an appointment for my daughter to also have her BCG jab in a couple of weeks time. Obviously I want to protect her as much as I can. I just want to know if it's safe for her to have her BCG jab and then 3 days later have her 2nd set of jabs. It just seems like an awful lot of jabs to have in her little body in such a short space to time. Should I maybe put it off for a bit longer?

Why has the BCG jab been recommended for you? Are you in a high risk area or is it because of family?

Apparently it's recommended in the area we live in even though no one else I know, friends or family who literally live 5/10 minutes away have been recommended for it. We go to the same places which puzzles me. We also have no family history of it.

Ok. Just wondering if you felt it was urgent or not. :) it is a bit strange how some areas come up as 'high risk' and sometimes people on the next street over don't get offered it even though they're all in close proximity to each other!

Anyway, if you don't feel it's that urgent then delay it. Some BCG reactions can be quite nasty so having her other jabs scheduled for just a few days later might not work out. Maybe get her second set of jabs and try to schedule the BCG for later (if you decide to go for it) with a bigger gap to allow for the possibility of a sore arm/swelling? My BCG took quite a long time to heal.
