I have terrible nausea when pregnant and found out I was expecting again this week.

I booked to see a reflexologist today but she would not treat me a she said she was not trained to an advanced level and she would need to be to treat a pregnant lady.Has anyone had any success with this treatment for pregnanacy related sickness?

I ended up having an indian head massage but she also massaged my upper back and shoulders and said I was very tense (I am anxious about pregnancy which took 18 months ttc following a stillbirth)and the massage hurt in places and my back and shoulders feel bruised now.Is that too be expected?

at least she was being honest. my reflexologist woudnt treat me in early pregnancy either. i think the first 3 months of pg they try to avoid, then its ok.. ask her

congrats chocpeanut!!

In my reflexology course (which I didn't complete because my teacher informed me halfway thru that i was pregnant with dd1, from lloking at my feet!!) we were told that in the first 3 mths you can only be treated by a v experienced prefessional, as reflexology is a very powerful complementary therapy.

I would think reflexology would help your nausea if you experience it again, but it might be worth looking up a Reflexology examining board on the web, and asking them for the most experienced practitioner in your area.

good luck
