any ideas what could be happening? i've given the boy perhaps about 10 extra feeds over the last month (we were down to 2 p/d) no consistant/night feeds. (normally 5am ones) AF was due nmonday just gone, got all the PMT signs (major moods with DH). had 4 regular AF 28 days after birth (took 4 months to return) anyhow everything's stopped. tested today - twice nothing, def neg, no evp or anything. could the increased BF be stopping things? I've been stressed a bit this cycle, we did have sex once (about 2 weeks ago) DH wore a condom as I had no clue where I was in my cycle. it stayed on (I think, well DH says it did)

any ideas/thoughts gratefully recieved. thanks.

ooh been having real bad mood swings as well then AF is here - was thinking hormone imbalance possibly? (I had one when I was a child)

Sounds like it could be a combination of things. My af returned when ds was 3 months and I was exclusively bf, they continued for 2 months then stopped for a month and now I never really know where I am. My ds if now 7 months and on 4 feeds a day and my af is still irregular and I very rarely feed at night.
I wouldn't worry too much it is probably just late.

I suspect you're right, it's obviously nothing else, as wiht the boy a BFP showed up 2 dasy pre AF< at 9.30 at night, and this is a def neg (which i've v relieved about I must say) it's just awful knowing it's coming but it's not iycwim! lol.

are yours any heavy the month after if u don't have one previously?

hi, just wanted to add that I had 3.5 yrs with no AF as I was pg, then bfing dd, then pg again immediately and bfing again!

But I did have some monthly-cycle symptoms (in my moods and physical sensitivity). My HV told me that your body does still have a rhythm even though AF doesn't quite make it to the surface!

Another thing I've found is that since I re-started the AFs have been all over the place, unpredictable and quite painful. I'm taking Oil of Evening Primrose which I think helps. It's quite a lot of upheaval for your body to go through, esp. if like me you are prone to painful and moody AFs anyway.

hiya thanks for your reply - thank god AF turned up today - over a week late but not to worry! lol. main thing is it's here - never been so glad to see it either! lol.

yep i'm prone to horrendous modd swings not normally pain - althou there has been some aches etc so might well give the EPO a go.
