Bugger .. think DS has slapped cheek .. is this a problem if I'm pregnant

Think it is more of a problem in early pregnancy. Chances are quite high you have previous exposure anyway and will pass on antibodies. Dr should be a able to reassure you. Otherwise known as Fifth Disease and caused by human parvovirus.

twiglett, i'm really sorry but looking at this stuff again i think it is the risk of mc which diminishes after 20wks - there are other risks which it looks still persist for exposure after 20 wks - not so serious though. sorry for not making this clear before. i think you should call your gp anyway.

IIRC you can be tested for immunity can't you? Sorry, may have that completely wrong but seem to remember it from a thread in the past. Hope it's all OK Twiglett.

you can be tested for immunity. i was tested at the outset of this pg - i'm not immune and v. glad i knew that.
