Tetanus Jab

Does anyone know whether it is necessary for a 4 year old to have a pre-school tetanus jab given that he had the 3 baby tetanus jabs as part of the DTP? I thought that the tetanus vaccination was supposed to last for 10 years - or is this only when given to adults? He is always falling over and cutting himself so I definitely want him to have it if necessary but do not want to give extra jabs unless really required.

Yes he does - it is the last part of the scheme of vaccines which should give tetanus protection for 10 yrs - there will be another tet booster before he leaves school. After that it would be every 10 yrs (sorry medical family background coming out!)
