I'm due to have my hormone levels checked and will have a blood test on Tuesday. I'm wondering is it just a snapshot of what they look like that day?

If it is then presumably it won't show the fluctuation.... i.e. my skin can get really, really spotty but if my skin is quite fine on Tuesday (as it is today) then could it show that my hormone levels are 'normal' and would I have to have then tested when I had dodgy skin to show a problem?

Hmm. Don't know I am afraid. Are you going for the test on a particular day of your cycle?

i have an imbalance, but not sure the name of it etc and which i lack in and have more of etc i had a blood test a few years ago and was told i just had an imbalance, i have terrible skin which is being treated with dinanette, but i have had to come off that pill because of headaches, i will be having another blood test soon to see which prescription will now help me best as anti biotics have never helped

I was just to make an appt with the nurse to take blood so its Tuesday and no particular day of my cycle. Just wondered if it will show all the detail or if you'd need to have one weekly to show the changes......
