"Toddlers Diarrhoea" or a bug?

DD started nursery a week and a half ago. Not surprisingly she developed a cold within a day or so and her poos were slightly more liquid than usual (nothing to worry about though) which i assumed was all the mucus etc she was swallowing.

The cold is on its way out but the poos have become much more liquid and stinky in the last 2 days, with lots of undigested vegetables etc in it. She probably does 4 a day (previously 1-2).
She doesnt appear bothered by it.

Does this sound like Toddlers Diarrhoea - which i gather carries on indefinitely or giving the timings is it more likely to be a mild bug she also picked up at nursery?

thanks alot
alice

What's toddler's diarrhea? It sound like a phrase for pretending a bug doesn't exist!

Unless her nursery diet is much different from what she had before, I'd assume it's a slight bug. Keep the fluid intake up, wait it out.

As far as I know, Toddler Diarrhoea starts when they intially move solids. I don't think they just start up with it one day after being on solids for ages. Sounds like a bug to me.

Hope she feels better soon

move onto solids, not move solids!

I was at the docs a few weeks ago with my son who is 2 1/2 with constant diahorrea and they said it was toddler diahorrea they said it is very common at around his age I thought it was a fob off at first until I got home and looked on the internet to see that there was such a thing it is because the gut is still developing and getting stronger.
My son wasnt bothered either and wasnt ill with it and he was still gaining weight.
