what order should ds's teeth come in?

ds2 (14 months) has the 4 middle ones at the top and the bottom then recently he got a molar at the bottom with a space where the canine would usually be. Is this something to worry about?

They can all vary. My DS only got his first tooth at 14 months and now (21 months) has 4 incisors at the top, 3 at the bottom with one on the way, and 4 molars. Still waiting for canines and last molars.

A friend's little boy got his front teeth at the top after the little incisors at the side and looked a bit odd for a while!

I think canines come later than others and are also quite painful - can't wait!

No need to worry ballbaby! Your ds is perfectly normal.

The standard sequence of eruption is:
two lower central incisors,
two upper central incisors,
two upper lateral incisors,
two lower lateral incisors,
four first molars,
four canines,
two lower second molars,
and finally the two upper second molars.

but there is lots of normal variation in timing as well as order. My 7 month old is just cutting his first teeth and they are the upper incisors.

My nephew got his canines long before the others - he looked like a vampire

Would love to have a little vampire - how cute! Thanks for these replies - won't rush off to the dentist now.
