I suffer from anxiety, and everytime ex comes to see dd, I always get so stressed out and worked up about it. Everyone just tells me to chill out and calm down, but it is easier said than done!! Has anyone else suffered or are suffering with this, or can any1 give me advice except for chilling out?

Thank you very much

It might sound daft but when I'm worried about something like that I think about something worse. I mean if I think about something really truly dreadful that might happen I kind of get carried away by it (as a true anxiety-ridden neurotic does) that when I break out of it, the thing I was worried about seems to have become insignificant.

my dp suffers with depresion and i always find the dessert island works

first close your eyes and take a deep breath
then imagine your in a special place like a dessert island where nothing can hurt you
keep breathing slowly and keep this place in your mind at all times you will find with each breath you breath out the easier and calmer you will feel
hth
