Anyone has actually managed to get rid of toe nail fungal infection?

I've had fungal nail infection for 3 years now, did one year of treatment with curanail and although it worked to start off with the infection came back. Then GP prescribed oral anti fungal treatment, have been taking it since July last year and my nail looks healthy and strong but there is still fungus under the tip of the toe nail, and the nail has re-grown well except from maybe 3 mm. I don't wear socks when I'm around the house just flipflops, I wash my feet with tea tree oil soap morning and night, I put on tea tree oil drops on the nail. There are many tips for 'natural' remedies on the internet but quite frankly some are disgusting (such as putting garlic on your toe nails...). Anyone has actually managed to get rid of toe nail fungus, how did you do it?

There is a proper controlled trial showing that vickes mentol rub works 70-80% of the time! depends on the type of fungus. Sceptical medical consultant had tried everything, about to go on antifungals and has noticed a big improvement after a month of Vicks morning and evening.

DH is the sceptical consultant

I'm going to try the Vicks then but putting it on in the morning would give me sticky socks surely and a plaster over it just wouldn't stick Confused

I tried Vicks for months whilst pregnant and it did nothing. The infection just spread. I have been using tea tree oil as I hoped it would stop it spreading while breastfeeding bit it's still spreading and now my husband has it too. Confused

My dd has this, has had for about 2 years, she's 5. I feel awful but we've tried everything and the go is at a loss, we tried German nail oil, gerwhol I think it's called but to no avail. It did fall off a while back, we thought it was gone...grew back just as bad. Might try the Vicks. Do people think tiger balm might work as well? I have heard the lavender oils and tea tree but it didn't make any difference. I'm thinking I will stand a better chance when it's spring, I can maybe get her to bathe her feet daily and get them exposed to some air and sunlight.
it's sonar she absolutely hates having her toenails cut now, any of them, practically have to hold her down.

If you have been trying for last three years to cure nail fungus but, still being unsuccessful, then, try out below remedies:
• Use of Oregano oil on the infected areas
• Use of Olive leaf extracts and capsules.
• Use of warm water and vineager over the fungal infected area.

Got rid of mine after absolutely years.

Nail removal (OUCH!!!) followed immediately by 6 months anti-fungals. Not nice, but worth it (for me!).
