I do!

I have been on it for about 5/6 years now. It has helped with some aspects of my asthma but not with others. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to try an answer them.

Thanks for the response stressed! I've had asthma all my life but the last couple of years have been awful - getting though an inhaler roughly every 10 days. Have just been diagnosed with an acute allergy to house dust bites and have been told I'm eligible for the Xolair injections. However, having looked on the website am slightly apprehensive about the possible side affects! Can I ask you what has improved for you and what hasn't? Also, what is your allergy? I have been told that I'll have to have the injection every 2 weeks possibly for life.

Sorry it has been a manic few days so I have only just got round to replying.

I have severe/ brittle asthma with numerous allergies inc house dust, most animals, latex and various fruits to name a few.

I have to say I am never sure how much difference it makes- I am on more steroids now than before, but have less hospital admissions and can do more. I have gone from needing to leave uni to now working full time in a job in the city. My lung function has decreased but that is due to scarring from chronic infections rather than the asthma per se.

I know other people who have gone from needing continuous steroids and home Nebs to go back to just needing inhaled steroids and a reliever inhaler so for some people it really is a miracle drug.

In terms of side effects I don't know anyone who has had anything really nasty so I wouldn't worry too much!

Any more questions please shout.
