Has anyone had a breast reduction to reduce upper back pain?

I'm in pain all the time. I'm a 32 k/kkLosing wight doesn't really ,make them that much smaller. The pain is constant and wearing, only relived by laying down and taking the weight off my front. Both my GP and senior physio have suggested it is the weight on the front that is causing the problem, and to consider one. I will have to leave my job eventually if the pain isn't sorted.

I also have lower back pain. I'm doing Pilates for this. Does this work does anyone know?

I've not had it but a very close friend suffered for years with back pain due to her cgest size. She had a reduction, after losing the agreed lbs within her surgeon. She was over the moon anf still talks about how glad she is of uy. She us a doctor and sge came very close to quiting during med school because of how hard iy was fot her to be onn be feet all day.
Plus she was glad to be able to shop for bras more easily.

Hope that helps.

I had a breast reduction in November. Upper back pain was a factor but not my main drive. For me it was headaches, neck pain, skin problems and just general weariness of the weight of them. I was a 36HH. I'm still in support bras so don't know what size I am now. I won't be wearing underwires for about 6 months.

I went private. It cost about £5,600. I'm so so glad I did it.

I'm still fairly large (I reckon about an E cup). My surgeon took just over 6lbs off my boobs! I measured 6lbs of weight out on the scales using rice in a bag and it astounds me. The relief is immense.

I still get the odd twinge of back pain but nowhere near like before. I'm loosing weight and exercising more than I ever did. I'm managing to jog!

The op was painful for about 48 hours after the surgery and then I was just on paracetamol etc. The only thing that was surprising was how tired I felt afterwards. About a month afterwards I still had little energy. All great now though.

I wish I'd had my reduction years ago.
