Hi - new to this hoping someone could help. I have had a friend on the phone this morning regarding her twin boys (10months) who have S & D for the past few days. Her doc is recommending stopping the milk.
Is there any other tried and tested method that someone has used on babies so young.
Thanks

Yes, I dont think the milk is a good idea, even if she just lowers thier intake as much as possibe.

regular sips of water to void dehydration
There are some foods that can help, I think they incluse banana and egg.

sorry not much help, hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will be along soon

My one year old has had D for a week now.

I finally gave in 2 days ago and stopped his milk - he was not impressed.

She can get Dyralite (sp) rehydrating solution from Boots.
Also instead of milk she can give him water which she has boiled rice in. This really helps.

The BRAT diet - bananas, rice, toast, can't remember what the A stands for.

I cooked him a soup from potato, carrots and rice and have been feeding him this for the last few days. It seems to be helping.
