What is a cholestrol blood test called on the blood test form?

On the standard routing blood test form you get sent to hospital to have from the GP, what is the cholestrol abbrieviated to?

Lipid profile?
CRP
CK
HDL

Or something else? It's all confusing to me. My GP's ticked loads of boxes and I don't know what they're for but she mentioned she might test my cholestrol and I wondered if she has. Except all those codes mean nothing to me.

Anybody able to enlighten me?

Did you have to starve first? I just had fasting lipids done for cholesterol check.

CRP I'm fairly sure is C-reactive protein, which tests for any inflammatory processes. Eg. if you have an infection your CRP level would be raised.

Thanks! She's ticked the boxes for lipid profile and HDL. Would that mean my cholesterol is checked both for good and bad cholesterol?
