Awful cough

Hiya,
I've had an awful cough since tuesday morning, and it's still agony now. I'm taking cough medicine which seems to be a waste of time.
What else can I take?

Hi jofeb04...sorry to hear your'e not well.

If your cough is chesty try steam. Either sit by the kettle or put your head over a bowl of hot water. It works a treat for opening up your airways and shifting any mucous.
