Is this normal with Mirena Coil????

Hi,

I had a Mirena coil fitted 5 weeks ago as I am breastfeeding my DD and thought this would be the best option.

I was aware that I would probably have some spotting to a light bleed after it was fitted but I am still bleeding 5 weeks later. Surely this can't be normal?????

I am (as you can probably imagine), getting very fed up of this now and am not sure what to do next. I don't know whether to go back and have it removed or just to stick with it and hope the bleeding stops soon.

up to 3 months bleeding & spotting is normal

when i got mine, it came with a little booklet and a calendar onthe back to note the bleeding & spotting...it also gave a lot of info about what to expect.....

stick with it...i \ve had mine for a year....periods so light after 6 months...i really rate it!
