Newly painted flat and early pregnant

Does anyone have any knowledge of how bad this is for the baby? If at all. the Internet is mixed.

We need to get flat sold and DH is painting hallway - all doors, wood work with gloss paint which is high voc. walls are low voc emulsion which I understand is pretty safe. It is the gloss I am concerned about. It stinks,

I am not doing any of the painting but am about when it is drying and obviously sleeping in the flat overnight. Keeping windows open to try and ventilate.

I am ultra paranoid.... Am I being over the top or do I have a point?

First baby I presume?! Grin

It's fine. Honestly. You have a looooong pregnancy ahead of you if you are worried over things like this Grin

It's fine. In fact we celebrated one of my pregnancies by decorating the whole house Grin

And some of us grew up in lead paint cots and still survived!!!! Relax :)

I decorated my whole house while pregnant with dc 2. I was bored and needed something to do! If you Google there are probably lots of scare stories but it's something I wouldn't worry about.

These products are extensively tested. nobody can afford the litigation .

Ventilate for sure but please don't worry.Smile
