Have you ever had swollen glands in your groin?

... for no obvious reason. Freaking out about 3 I can feel - they're tender. Had a whole load of fluey/cold bugs since Xmas - only bad enough to reach for the lemsip - could these have caused this?

Usually just means another flu/cold bug on it's way :(

Where exactly in the groin? By the leg or in the labia?

mummmypirate · 04/02/2015 01:39

They're on the edge of my pubic hair line - where my groin meets the top of my leg. Just need to some sensible reasoning on benign things that could be causing this, health anxiety going into overdrive...

I get them all the time. Apparently I have hydrodenditis.

Josie314 · 04/02/2015 02:07

Posted too soon. Meant to say they are annoying but relatively harmless.

Josie314 · 04/02/2015 02:10

And massively misspelled! It is hidradenitis.

Thanks all - Josie that's an interesting one and a new one for me! My bumps are definitely lymph nodes - diagnosed by GP. They're bean shaped and moveable but they really, really hurt! That's what's getting through to me, makes them hard to ignore. 3 DCs have been really poorly with viruses for last 4 weeks, I'm hoping my autoimmune system has gone into overdrive fighting off these. Taking back to back ibuprofen, how do I make them stop hurting so much?
