Teething and diarrhea

DD is 7 months and seems to have been teething furiously for the last 3 weeks or so. No sign of anything breaking through, but lots of red cheeks, fury, drool, gnawing, fury, etc.

Anyway, in the last few days she has been producing very loose stools - virtually diarrhea I think - about 3 or 4 times per day. She has no fever and doesn't appear particularly ill beyond the teething fury. She continues to feed very well.

Should I put this down to teething or should I pay a visit to the doctor? If not now, how long should I let it carry on. Also, I haven't made any adjustments/limitations to her diet on the basis of her diarrhea. Is that something I should do?

Any advice welcomed.

Sounds like teething. So long as she seems well, no temp, her diet is good, fluid intake is good and she has wet nappies then I wouldn't worry. HTH

Sounds like teething to me. I had this with all mine. Don't introduce any new foods just in case it might be this. Offer her extra fluids. I found that their bottom can get sore so use cotton wool and water, sometimes a little soap, and then plenty of cream/vaseline. Wipes can be irritating (they have so many chemicals in them). Good luck.
