Sorry this is soooo gross, but DH cringes when i try to discuss it, so really need to know that there are others out there with the same problem. Have been trying out several different pills for the last 6-7 months, some made me bleed all the time, others gave me headaches, etc. finally decided to stop altogether as the reason for me going back on the pill at all was because i get heavy painful periods. But the last 2 i have had have been worse that before i even went on the pill, and this time around, (came on on Sunday) I'm losing huge clots of blood (the size of the palm of my hand) even though its like day 5. Last night i flooded the bed. Feel so fed up. Please someone reassure me that its all the pill swapping???Or should i ask GP for appointment for ultrasound...fibroids?? I must sound really daft...thanx for any advice u may have

SOOOO SORRY GUYS......Appreciate your concern.....have been without a modem/server since last Thu, and knew you wouuld all think i was surely dead!!! I went to my GP who reassured me this kind of heavy loss is yet again due to my swapping around with the pill, and as i had just stopped taking it a few days prior, my body just didnt know what was going on. She prescribed me Norethisterone (SP?!) which I have been taking 3 times a day, and after literally 5 tablets the blood had all but disappeared. However, she intends to send me to a Gynaecologist following my next period for ultrasound, etc as it could be fibroids....so will just have to see how it goes next month.....thanks for all your messages......made me feel really bad but grateful too!!!! xxxxxxx
