Hi, my dd last week had a really really bad sickness bug. Was concerned enough to have at the dr twice. Really high temp (just so you know I am a really laid back mum so she must have been bad), anyway dh started on Saturday with it and now I am panicking that I get it. We have a 3 yo in the house who hasnt had it at all and I find it very odd that dh who works alll day and wasnt moping brow and holding back hair has the bug and yet me and 3 yo dont have it. I have done all the ususal, disinfecting bathrooms, exessive handwashing etc. How do I not get the bug. Sorry rambled a bit there didnt I. Forgot to mention dh also had a virus in his chest and I now have a sore throat. Help, I cant be ill with 2 kids to look after. Thanks.

I think your doing all you can, just pray! sounds like its just part of the virus.

You sound just like me singy, whenever anyone in our house is ill i get really terrified and phobic about catching whatever they have.To be honest i dont think there is anything you can do to avoid getting it but i understand the dread of catching it as you know that you cant just take to your bed when you have kids and a job.
No help to you really but wanted to let you know that i always feel the same.
Hope you dont catch it

Hi, My son(3.10yrs) and I had a tummy bug at the beg of this week and my dd (14months) and dh didn't get it. I'm usually the one who doesn't get stuff and dh does. You can never tell. It sounds like you've done all the right things to me. Good Luck.

Thanks guys. I will keep praying that I dont get it. I can cope with the chest virus that dh had but not the sickness bug that him and dd had. That would be too much, having to do the school run in between visits to the loo. No thanks.

I know I was worried about that. I got dh to do it one day and then go to work after that.

I had to take dd to a hosp appointment and had to go into the loo to be sick while waiting for my next appointment.
