Nappy Rash?

Hi...
Yesterday changing DSs nappy I noticed little red spots round his willy area, but put it down to not using his normal wipes once that day. He still has them though, they flare up abit then go (worst when hes done a poo, but on his belly so it all filters round to that area!). How do I treat it? He always has nappy free time, and is nudey ATM, and I put a little sudocreme on the area. It looks like its almost dissapeared now after about 5 mins. How can I prevent it and treat it? Thanks.

p.s He is changed as soon as he poos and wets (unless I dont hear it!) and is just starting to be weaned. Can that cause it?

Thanks again!

Are the wipes for sensitive skin? If not change to sensitive but not J & J ones as they have alchohol in them which irritates some skins.

Try changing to a different brand of nappy again some nappies (I assume you are using desposables) suit some and not others. Yes weaning can cause a rash as can teething. It's a case of try it and see until you sort out what suits him and what doesn't. - If it gets really bad, I always found metanium to be excellent.

Sorry meant to say - if things get really bad then use cotton wool and water (or cold tea!)instead of wipes.

Thanks-
I usually use sensitive wipes, but was out and forgot them, so had to buy normal. Seems alot better now - althought I think I need to go next size up in nappies as these are getting less absorbant.
