My ds16 has a slight tongue tie which we've always been aware of. He was assessed as a young child but the dr and the speech therapist said to leave it. We recently changed dentist and she has noticed a tartar build up at the back of his bottom teeth, she says due to the tie preventing the tooth brush reaching.

Anyway, my point is, she says dentists can treat tongue ties. Is this correct, I've always thought it was a minor medical procedure?
