Can someone come and talk to me about polymyalgia please?

My mum is awaiting test results for this. She's been in such searing pain. Has anyone got any tips on how to help her?

My grandmother had this. She has never cried in her life but cried with this. She just wanted to die. She is over the flare up now, but needed a lot of doctor appointments to manage all her medications. It is a little bit of trial and error to find the right balance with all the meds, but it can be done. The best way to help is to be totally honest with the doctor about the level of pain and what medications are currently being taken.
